Broad spectrum bactericidal topical antibiotic corticosteroid combination.

Cat

Due to the risk of severe anaphylaxis and death, some feel triple antibiotic combination therapy is contraindicated in cats.

General

Hypersensitivity reactions are possible and thought to be related to neomycin allergy.

Cat

There are sporadic reports of anaphylaxis and death in cats associated with the use of triple antibiotic ophthalmic products that contain neomycin.

Antibiotic preparation with hydrocortisone is a relatively weak anti-inflammatory product.

Antibiotic preparation with dexamethasone is a more potent anti-inflammatory product and

is used in more severe cases of inflammation.
